WHAT MONTH IS IT?!

It's been ANOTHER hot minute since I sent out a newsletter. I've been sick and slammed!
At the beginning of the month, I was exposed to Covid and that set me back in life and work. The crappy part was that it affected my output and slowed me down. It's also been a heavy emotional drain...
The silver lining was that I was vaccinated and boosted.
This was my first time getting it and hopefully my last. I'm testing negative now and feel 89.9% better.
• SAN DIEGO COMIC CON
• Looks like I'm going to have a booth (4820) this year at SDCC!!! I'm stoked!
• BOBA PRINT DELAY
• Because I got Covid, the prints will be a few weeks late. They will now ship after 7/28. My apologies. I've been juggling a lot of cats and had to set them all down gently in fear of dropping them all.
• MYSTERY TOOBS
While being incapacitated, I started to rearrange my studio and found a bunch of odds and ends! I figured now that I'm feeling better, it would be fun to release some TOOBS (not BOOBS) !!!
• NEW GIG POSTERS
I designed new posters for MASTODON and PUSCIFER. Sorry I can't show them yet! More info on that in the next newsletter. The bands will post them to social media first and I'll follow. My copies will be available the day after the shows and YES there will be FOILS and an exclusive!!!

I designed the cover for the official PANTERA graphic novel and Vinyl Album - that'll be released by Z2 Comics later this year!

It's been 5 years since I exhibited at SDCC and I'm glad! The time off gave me an overdue chance to collect myself.
I only have a few weeks to prep for this (on top of having Covid and deadlines). I feel good and more focused than I did the last time I was at SDCC and can't wait to be back!
• I'm finishing up a NEW BOOK! It's my first in 6 years!
It's called "THE THINGS THAT COULD NOT BE" and will showcase some of the unused art and sketches for projects that took place over the past few years! I worked very hard on this and can't wait to show you! If the printer can get everything done in time, they'll be available at SDCC. If not, they'll go up online when I get them. Either way, I'm happy with the book!
• I'll have more of the SOLD OUT GHOST BONER WHITE (aka SHOOTING BLANKS) vinyl toys! (The Crimson Ghost colorway will be available at DCON this year!)
• A buttload of NEW enamel pins including the recent four-pin collab with Yesterdays that dropped a few weeks back!
• A new giclee of a popular piece from last year. Here's a hint (and a tutorial). It's pronounced "zhee·klay·a·a·a"!
• I'll be bringing ORIGINAL ART I normally don't bring OGs to conventions. I'm making an exception since a few people have already asked! If there's a piece you're looking for - hit me up!
There will be more stuff. I just don't want to get ahead of myself on this! I still have deadlines and tattoos to finish before I take off!

Not sure if you've been keeping up with Star Wars...but the MANDALORIAN series has been so much fun to experience. I could care less about the heroes. I'm more of a fan of the anti-heroes like the Stormtroopers and BOBA FETT!!!

Brian Ewing is a Rock Poster Artist, Toy Designer, and Tattoo artist - residing in Columbus, OH.
Brian has worked full-time in the music industry creating rock posters, album art, and tour merchandise for the past 19 years.
Ewing has collaborated with a few bands and music festivals such as Metallica, Mastodon, The Pixies, Megadeth, N.E.R.D., Warped Tour, Hellfest, Anthrax, Weezer, Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, and Iggy Pop.
He also freelances with many publications such as Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Hustler, Dark Horse Comics, Skybound, Z2 Comics, and The New Yorker.
Brian splits his time between tattooing, designing concert posters, and drawing ghosts with boners?!
